As a certified energy labelling company, we produce EPCs for your buildings and give you access to easy-to-use tools that show how renovation proposals affect your EPCs with the current calculation core.
Our EPC simulator tool shows you the impact of each renovation proposal before you commit to any, ensuring minimum spend for maximum impact on your buildings’ EPCs.
And of course, you can follow how your buildings are performing, with your energy data taken directly from the source.
The problem we're solving.
The traditional EPC, while trusted and loved, is a standardisation of your buildings. It works – it’s what enables you to compare one building to another.
But when each building is so individual, when legislation surrounding energy performance is getting tighter and when EPCs are changing from being paperwork to a business decision with financial impact, standardisation can no longer be the way.
The EPC describes a standardised building.Where documentation is thin – and it usually is – standard values fill the gaps. A consultant can see the ventilation running harder than assumed, but without paperwork, the standard value wins. You get a typical building of that type and age, not the one in front of them.
Each measure is priced on its own.Swap the heating supply, and every other saving on the page was priced against the old fuel. Each number is right on its own. Nothing says they can't be added together – so they are, and the case is wrong before anyone spends a krone.
The economics are fixed on day one.A certificate is valid for ten years. The energy prices and build costs behind its savings are set at issue and never revisited. The maths isn't wrong – but it’s using a ten-year-old price list.
And the basis itself moves.Primary energy factors get revised. The same building, same method, scores differently depending on when its certificate was issued. An expired certificate isn't just old – its basis no longer applies.
