But we like to think of it as things that make your life easier because, well, they do. And that’s what we all want. Anyway, ‘platform update’ and ‘feature release’ are so dry they make cranberry juice look wet.

Let’s dig into what they are – and how they make your life easier.

The comundo API 

It is now possible to pull your data automatically from comundo and add it to your other systems or software – like your accounting platform or analytical tools – via an API.

‍

You can pull data points from properties and meters to consumption and emissions and put it wherever you want, to make it even more accessible. In short, the API mirrors what you can already see in comundo, but it enables you to shape the data to suit your needs.

It’s your data, your way.

Property details

Sounds simple. It is. And it makes managing your properties simple.

Through this new section, you can edit your property details, like the name and the square meterage of each property. Why would you want to do that? Because it allows us to calculate and show metrics such as your CO2e intensity and consumption per m2.

Measure property data per m2

Once you fill in the square meterage of your properties, you’ll be able to see all your consumption data and emissions data per square meter.

‍

Why is this useful? It means you can compare buildings against each other, and get a more granular view of energy consumption vs building size. For example, building A and building B might have a consumption of 200, but when you see that building A is 20 m2 and building B is 200 m2, you might start to question the efficiency of building A …
